The manager should be at least a little understanding of accounting. I recall how he went into his office, poured a large mug of coffee and opened an accounting program. There he looked at only four documents, and this was enough for him to understand the state of affairs in the company:
“Turnover” on account 60 (Suppliers and contractors). Thus, he understood how much we owed;
“Turnover” on account 62 (Buyers and customers). So he understood how much they owed us;
“Turnover” in cash accounts 50 (Cashier) and 51 (Bank). This is information about how much money the company has.
Here is a simple analysis that gave my leader an idea of ​​the state of affairs in his company. According to its results, the boss gave orders on when and how much to transfer to suppliers, on the issuance of loans to other companies, on the expenditure of funds for other purposes.

And, of course, he was completely indifferent to how we draw up balances and other reports. By the way, we then carried the reports to the tax office on paper, they were dusted in huge stacks to the ceiling in myriad tax vaults. I think that I will not surprise anyone if I say that in the tax we had certain acquaintances who helped with reports and other interesting issues.

Almost 20 years have passed since then – and a lot has changed.

The burden on the business has increased significantly. Just think: over the past two years we have been added three (!) New reports:

quarterly “monster” 6-personal income tax.
I’m not talking about the constant change of existing reports and their formats.
